just a little bit ago one of my 3 college roommates nicole (we call each other gnomies) came down to visit us in jersey.. the beauty of where we live, pier village, is that it really is a little village. right outside our front door are shops, restaurants, and my all time favorite: Stewarts. they have the BEST burgers, BEST fries, + all time BEST milkshakes. so needless to say i try to stay away unless its a special occasion. gnomie's visit was by far a special occasion & was so happy to see her pretty face.

over the weekend

with the kittens still sleeping, we snuck out the door friday morning to head to wildwood for my girl's state gymnastics championship. it was a long 5 sessions of meets but the girls did amazing and i couldn't be more proud of their accomplishments.

while i was inside the convention center all day long, pete went exploring the boardwalk + kite festival. even stumbling upon some recent coast guard graduates fresh out of bootcamp. oh memories. thanks wildwood, you crazy place, see ya next time.

happy memorial day to all who have served.

dunks dates w. pete.
reaching into my purse + grabbing exactly what i wanted.
green lights all the way home (only happened once).
chunky peanut butter out of the jar (which sometimes includes chocolate chips).
making lists + crossing them off.
bottled coca cola.
kairos & leo (our two year old kittens).
red wine, port wine, all wine.
fire places (real ones with a hearth that i can warm my toes on)
my dad's garden dahlias
brothers + in laws
museum gift shops
turquoise (it soothes my soul that color)
getting + sending mail
bakers twine
ice cream (without sprinkles isn't worth eating)
and did i mention pete? he's my most favorite thing of all.


we are off to wildwood.

california dreaming

san carlos. our other home. where pete's parents, younger brother matt, + cat reside. back in march we took a trip out there for st patricks day weekend and ran into some rainy weather (pretty much the only rain the whole year) but we had the best time. filled w. outings, homemade dinner + wine nights, trips to san fran, alcatraz + the best part: the cartoon art museum = amazing. we cant wait to get back out there again.

over the weekend...

thursday night straight out of work we hopped on the parkway headed straight for connecticut, grabbed mom, dad, lil-lil bro and headed to rhode island friday to stay in a motel straight out of the movie Vacancy (twas a last minute booking) for the saturday morning graduation of my other little brother liam. talk about the most beautiful day for a graduation...
one that led to my amazing farmers tan-sunburn.
we are so proud of you lil brother.
