this is mary. my college roommate of all four years. the day we moved in together as freshman i was walking out of the building & she was pulling up in a truck with a uhaul attached. we hadn't met yet, but we both just knew it was each other & we screamed all the way until we threw ourselves into each other's arms. we say to each other all the time "what if you had chosen another college... or, what if we were placed with a different roommate" because when it comes down to it, it was fate that put the two of us together. we are the best of friends & i couldn't imagine life with her not in it. our friendship is different than any other. when you live with someone for four years you learn everything about them. we have stuck by one another through the good, the bad, and the amazing... leaning on each other when needed, holding each other's hands when necessary, & even traveling to australia to study abroad together with her sister misa. we were those lucky roommates who coexisted seamlessly throughout our college years. never fighting, (even when she wanted to slap me across the face when i dated complete assholes)... & our living quarters became complete with the addition of nicole & minna. the four of us have been through so much together & i love them more than anything.

this saturday mary will be marrying the man of her dreams, aric. who she met as freshman at college. it has been so much fun to watch their amazing relationship over the years & i am so honored to go down to outer banks, to sit with my husband & both their families & loved ones, and to watch the two of them say i do.
