to market we go

Monday, June 16, 2014

on a warm sunny morning, we packed up the car along with our friend brian, went across the golden gate bridge, & headed to the Marin Farmers Market to pick up some fresh goodies & have some tacos from the taco truck. pete and brian are in the process of starting up a company that involves flavor & herb infused bricks of butter so naturally they got some ingredients to cook with this week. it is so fun to watch the two of them go back & forth with ideas & i am so excited for them... but to be honest, i'm just pumped to have our house be full of home made cinnamon & strawberry butter!

i rocked some sweet lavender tights from anthro that day while luke wore his rooster onesie!

hope you all had a great weekend!
happy monday & go usa!!

over the past week...

Friday, June 13, 2014

we took a trip to the beach right near the bridge
luke and i watched pete play hockey
well... i watched pete play hockey
we went to a new beer garden in oakland with friends
and hung out in their bungalow afterwards
luke poured on the smiles
and stood for his dad (with help)
i got some good pics of the two of us (after i had time to curl my hair... score)
& got some strays to help with my cat withdrawals
we had waffles on wednesday
 and peanut butter everyday
we visited the haight where the chalkboard signs are all over
& the sayings crack me up
and i enjoyed another week spent with my nugget.

hope you all have a fantastic weekend full of playoffs & world cup fun!!!!

a day in golden gate park

Thursday, June 12, 2014

this past weekend we packed up the car & headed to golden gate park. it was my first time going there & i was amazed at how huge this man made patch of land was. everyone was out having bbq's, parties, & enjoying the sun. my friend devon and i soaked up some rays, entertained luke, & had a few beers. it was the perfect day that ended with a ride to see the bridge & a sweatpants party at home.
these beers are sooo good & have the cutest things written all over them!
luke loves his aunty devon
and i love my luke. (& that belly!!)

happy thursday!!

newborn photos

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

about a week... or two... (i honestly don't even know because the first month of luke's life was such a blur) my dear friend kris of krisrae photography came over to the house & took newborn photos of luke. i was such a pain in the ass at scheduling time for kris to come take them and i am so happy i listened to his advice to get them done as soon as possible because of how fast babies grow. well, you can say that again! i look at these pictures and die. he's smaller than his stuffed croc! he is such a little nugget. i can't believe how much he has grown in such a few short months. everyone always says "oh please slow down, please stop growing" but every week offers more and more & i am just excited for what lies ahead with this happy baby! below are a few more of the pictures & some that i even got to hop in on :)
thank you kris! we love you.

living room floor sessions

are my favorite. period.

i lay out all the blankets, grab some books, & we put on our pjs and lounge around. he loves to lay on his back and talk. i swear this baby has already said his first word... an adamant "nooo!" that i caught on snapchat when asking if he would say hi. he gets crazy excited and kicks his legs like he's marching & does all these baby coos that make you melt ...it is too adorable.

and while we are on the topic of pajamas, i thought i would share my favorite ones for babies. luke slept in easy swaddles the first month, but i stopped them when he preferred to sleep with his arms up by his head. then we moved to those little dresses that can convert to pants... he loves this one from giggle ... but what i've found works best for pjs are the terry cloth carter's striped onesies. babies just love them. & you can't beat having a crab, monster, or yellow submarine on their little tushies! they are available here, but there is a much bigger selection at the actual store. not to mention there is usually some ridiculous sale on them. luke is wearing this one in the photos. $4.99... i mean... come on :)
