the holiday scented candles came out of hiding
& it smelled like halloween, thanksgiving, & christmas all at once
it rained all week but we got to go watch my little brother's soccer game
and they won!
i purchased new essie nailpolish: bahama mama
which is the name of the first sip of alcohol (wine cooler) i ever had
some attempts at fashion were made
all these catalogues were gone through (including mrs. fields!) and a wish list was made here
i just about tried on every bcbg dress in the store including this one...
& finally found my dress for my college roomie's wedding
(settled on a beachy, flowing, perfect for OBX, maxi dress)
kairos slept like a baby after catching his first mouse
the first halloween candy was eaten. cadbury "screme" eggs
lulu was shy in front of the camera for the first time ever
my cousin came home from italy (after two years)
& i got to spend quality time with my relatives
& totally matched with my uncle
this week was pretty low key. pete was only here two days, but we got a lot of unpacking & cleaning done... although we have a lot left to do. the rest of the days were spent working on a painting i'm giving my roomie as a gift for her wedding & spending time with family. my cousin who is in the navy came home for a few weeks after being away in italy. he wasn't able to make it to our wedding last year & we have missed him at every holiday. it was fun to go to my grandparents and have a little family gathering filled with my grandpa's famous margaritas (which always reminds me of the episode of south park... "andddd its gone."), lots of games of set back, & the best food in the world. my grandma's recipes are legendary & she graciously gave me her secret ones as a shower gift last year. i can't wait to attempt them this holiday season while i'm still home recovering. hope you all had a fabulous week & weekend. go eagles!
