over the past week...

we took luke down the street to the embarcadero
and showed him the bay bridge... he was so enthralled
this is cupid's span... the coolest thing sticking out of the ground along the walk
we visited my favorite place (the palace of the fine arts) & our friends who live near there for wine & cheese night!
luke logged some quality time in his hat from salt city emporium
no more pictures mom!
pshhh... no more pictures indeed
and i FINALLY got my hands on an in-n-out burger (animal style) with fries.
just looking at this picture makes my mouth water. better than shake shack.

the random posts just keep flowing. i apologize for their scattered nature & i am trying to catch up and get on some sort of schedule that makes sense & isn't so random... plus i want to bring back the outfit posts. all the bloggers out here wear thousand dollar outfits & san francisco needs a little kohl's in its life ;)

lost lake

a while back i started following candy kirby designs on instagram because of the adorable baby leggings, hats, & blankets she makes and also because the girl has impeccable taste for color, design, & home decor (i mean... she has a turquoise piano!) ...so when i saw her put up a post looking for moms & babies to showcase her new line, i sent her an email & a week later i heard back that she chose us! not going to lie, i did a little dance. and so pete and i packed up the car (and luke!) the first weekend we spent back in cali... drove 3 hours down south to the most gorgeous park & lake i've ever seen... and spent the day hanging with Erin along with her friend & photographer Stephanie
they had a little crib set up, blankets, & her whole new collection. luke loved the hats & was a trooper wearing all the awesome boy designs. pete was such a big help & they even convinced him to be in a few shots!
we had the best time meeting Erin & hanging in the park enjoying the gorgeous weather! mom and dad treated themselves to chick-fil-a afterwards & luke treated himself to a well deserved nap :)

bits & pieces

a car's eye view of the bay bridge
and of the city
sleepy baby on his boppy pillow
and in his car seat
and in a dresser drawer.
this was by far the greatest thing we ever came up with before his crib came. it was like a little bassinet & he slept perfectly at the foot of our bed
starbucks dates because dunkin donuts don't exist out here.
& the start of luke's nursery.
first up was moving the fireplace into his little bedroom. we read him books by the "fire" at night & it keeps that back room of the loft toasty warm. i can't wait to show the whole room (and the whole condo for that matter) once everything is done.

happy monday!

sunset celebrations

we took luke to the beach for the first time for my friend devon's birthday celebrations. she is one of my favorite people in the whole world & it has been so nice to be in the same city as her & start working on some exciting projects together :)  we laid down blankets, watched the sunset, made a small bonfire, ate s'mores, & became one with the sand.
my little bear absolutely loved it & this is now my new favorite picture of the two of us!

san francisco

the first weekend in california we spent visiting Dolores Park: soaking up the sunshine, people watching, & having a few beers. i already know it is going to take me a while to get used to this weather again. during the day you can wear shorts and a tank top with the sun beaming down like no other... but as soon as the sun goes down, it is cold enough for a winter jacket. that makes it super hard to pack for the day & for a baby.
so here is my little bear wearing his bear hat (my mom crocheted him the next size up right before we left) and his "gnome" onesie i got as a gift at my baby shower. this was his first time wearing it, so when i put the hood up, the point went straight up and having it be in white caused a few stares... (hands covering face) ...so i finally got the point to go to the side & he looked like an adorable little gnome & the littlest member of the gnomie pack.
:)
