we took luke down the street to the embarcadero
and showed him the bay bridge... he was so enthralled
this is cupid's span... the coolest thing sticking out of the ground along the walk
we visited my favorite place (the palace of the fine arts) & our friends who live near there for wine & cheese night!
luke logged some quality time in his hat from salt city emporium
no more pictures mom!
pshhh... no more pictures indeed
and i FINALLY got my hands on an in-n-out burger (animal style) with fries.
just looking at this picture makes my mouth water. better than shake shack.

the random posts just keep flowing. i apologize for their scattered nature & i am trying to catch up and get on some sort of schedule that makes sense & isn't so random... plus i want to bring back the outfit posts. all the bloggers out here wear thousand dollar outfits & san francisco needs a little kohl's in its life ;)

tea time.

this morning i took a cruise down 95 to meet up with my lovely friend & fellow blogger Devon at the cutest little spot Lorca for some hot drinks & baked goods. obviously i ordered a chai latte since they are my absolute favorite & never fail to warm my heart & soul. it came in an alice in wonderland sized cup & saucer & i only burned my tongue once.

we chatted about life, the cold ass weather outside, & our big plans for the future. she also surprised me with the sweetest gift for the little guy: a moose printed & footed onesie from Vermont... sigh. i can't wait to bundle him up in it & snuggle him :)
love her.

oh & did i mention she is the founder of Wendy Darling Co. where she designs & makes her own whimsical clothing line... launching this month. you can be sure i'll do a post when the website is up & running! love you devon, can't wait to team up with you & make some creative awesomeness!

the beautiful bay bridge that lights up at night with a pattern that won't repeat for 20 years!
what i do for every flight: purchase a book in the airport & jot down the mission.
it adds to your book collection & makes you look back on them and smile!
brothers reunited... taking our first stroll in the city
happy & exhausted!
breaking into our patio before the closing date
and sneaking a peak! (father in law & husband)
the view from lombard street! or any street for that matter!
drinks & tacos at Tacolicious!
and my new obsession since coming here: chai lattes. where have they been all my life?!
oh you know... just another amazing view of water & mountains & stuff.
hanging with the coolest corgi there is
and my high school prom date who also lives out here!
and how could we not take a trip to in-n-out...
it is better than five guys & shake shack combined! ya i said it.
and then we finally were allowed to move into our new condo. cheers!
and what is a moving day without a little splurge from Merrimekko?
(i've had my eye on this mug for years now. it reminds me of spain & i just love it.
so excited to have it be a part of our ever growing coffee mug collection!)
& then we went to this place for the first time. the only thing they serve is mac + cheese.
(i got the trailer park version: hotdogs & potato chips!)
and this is like a couple blocks away from our condo. good news? or bad news ;)

all photos taken from my iphone. if you hadn't already noticed!
more on the way...

this season's catalogues were gone through & a little wish list was made here
+ bedroom inspiration for our new CA condo was found: a turquoise wall & white bedding
we went to Five Guys for dinner: BEST burgers, fries, & of course, peanuts!
my mother in law sent me this picture from outside her window
(we can't wait to get out there & visit: ahhh, the city of love)
+ pretty, pretty Leo was inside for about 2 seconds the whole weekend
he is in love with this warmer weather... and so are we!
i made little books with all the cards from our showers & wedding
(just hole punch, add rings & there you have it! little keepsake books that are so easy to look through & read!)
my mom and i got our hair done & highlighted blonder
+ her hair is now long enough for her first ever sock bun!
my iphone cover has & always will be this Kate Spade vintage airmail case here
and so at target i found an ipad case that looks like a vintage envelope PLUS these botanical notebooks from my favorite paper company ever!!
we had a McDonalds feast after my brother's all day long soccer tournament
because they won! congrats boys & to my "coach dad"

my wound was pretty sore so i spent lots of couch time with this kitty,
lots of girl scout cookies were consumed,
god bless the person who invented samoas!
along with lots of caramel,
the only thing better than Valentine's day candy... is Easter candy!
this was hung up by my mother on the fridge,
little brother's soccer team was short a man so pete decided to play,
(this is a guy who played hockey his whole life. he was a smidge out of his comfort zone!)
they warmed up, stretched it out, & won both games!
we let kai sleep in our room again + we had strawberry shortcake for dessert... my favorite!
i picked up this button up jean shirt + these colorful bowls from none other than kohls!
DAY 1          +          DAY 2
and i am doing a little experiment with my hair:

ok, so normally i shower, flip my head over to blow dry, & then curl my hair with either a one inch curling iron, or a 1/2 inch curling iron. these curls are with a 1/2 inch iron while twisting the hair around the barrel so they are more wavy than ringlets. if this experiment goes well, i will do a video tutorial!

and then, what i have always done over the years is tease my roots and add hairspray... the problem i faced with this was that by the second, and absolutely by the third day, my hair would be extremely ratty underneath from the hairspray & greasy at the roots from teasing. but i truly felt the need for the teasing to add some volume, and the hairspray to hold the curls.

so on Saturday, i got this idea in my head that i would try to do smaller curls & then naturally let them fall out over the following days. this would allow me to try and stretch out shampooing my hair to 3 or 4 days. so the first picture of the curls is yesterday, and the second picture is of today. my husband really loves my hair curlier, but it is a lot of work... so by not having to do my hair for 4 days in a row, it makes it worth the extra effort. and i really am in love with how it looks today... just wavy & pretty.. and that picture is after i got home from the gym just now. so i am off to go rinse off, but going to keep my hair dry & i'll show you tomorrow how it looks. because this is exciting to me! my hair isn't as greasy as it normally is & it is nice not to have to do anything to it for a couple of days... because if there are two things in the world i hate doing over and over and over... it is my hair & shaving my legs!!

happy Sunday, go UCONN women & see ya tomorrow!
