it is that time again... all the spring catalogues are filling up the mailbox. most people find them annoying & throw them right out. oh but not me, they are my favorite! i like to play the game where i think in my head "if i had a million dollars and could buy whatever i wanted, what things would i choose..." and here they are:

the magazines i went through included Sundance, Eddie Bauer, Boden, Garnet Hill, Anthropologie, Crate & Barrel, West Elm, & more... you can see the pattern developing just at a glance: a light, airy, & whimsical vibe ready for spring & warmer weather. each of the pieces above are the very definition of a splurge, but my birthday is in a few weeks & i am thinking of choosing just one of these for my husband to get me!

this has to be by far one of my favorite wish lists i've ever done. all of these products are my favorite colors, they are all things i wish i could go buy like. right. now... and they are all so pretty in their own unique ways. just one of these things could make me smile for a month :)

before i had this blog i would make powerpoint slides of products i would find that i loved. these quickly turned into wish lists & birthday lists... now with Pinterest it is so easy to pin your favorites, but i encourage everyone to make little silly wish lists like the one above. it really will give you an idea of your style & personality. because the ten images above all sum up "me" and my style. and that can be very insightful into finding your own nitch & can also be extremely helpful when shopping. knowing what you like & love can help you easily pick out pieces in a store rather than getting that overwhelmed feeling we all can get searching through the racks & racks of never ending clothes! so open up a word document & start copy & pasting your way to your very own personal wish list :) enjoy!

*i take pride in picking the items for all my silly little wish lists. when it comes to this Christmas list, these are the actual gifts i purchased for husband this year... i hope it gives some (affordable) ideas to all you ladies... enjoy!

1.) we get each other an ornament every year & since he played hockey in college, i let out an "eek!" when i saw this darling Precious Moment.

2.) i thought this book would be hysterical for him to have & i am kind of excited to see what it's all about!

3.) these Urban Outfitters hoodies are the BOMB. Pete has worn them for years. perfect fit, a whole selection of colors... my brothers always steal them from him so my mom got each of my three brothers one as well.

4.) when we were in the airport on our way to California this past November, we saw two stylish people in the airport with these backpacks and we both fell in love with them. i actually purchased the green version of this backpack for pete, but it is now sadly sold out.

5.) pete specifically asked for the "man can" this year. i said "the man what?!" ... turns out it is the perfect gift for those who have to keep a clean shaven face (like my military husband)

6.) this flask not only holds any liquid you want, it has storage for all your little golfing essentials and can be engraved!

1.) the cutest tie envelope looking ipad case to safeguard our brand new ipad that my in laws got us for Christmas... what have i been doing on a laptop for so long?! my carpal tunnel is GONE!

2.) i know, i know... it is winter. but come on, are these not the cutest heels you've ever seen? and in my favorite color & on sale... score.

3.) in college, the four of us college roommates had way too much fun with "Wreck This Journal". the same author brings you "Mess"

4.) pete bought me this amazing toggle coat from Anthropologie (on sale) this past weekend as my big Christmas gift... it is killing me that i can't wear it yet!

5.) my favorite shirt from Boden in white. (Boden is my best kept secret store for the cutest clothing... guess it's not so secret anymore!)

6.) and for the grand finale: my absolute favorite cream in the entire world. light, fresh, creamy, & hydrates your skin. Laura Mercier knows how to make the best lotions. i only ask for it for Christmas & my birthday because it is expensive, but it lasts six months & is the most delicious scent.
