an anniversary

 

one year ago today, i married an absolutely amazing man. one who continuously fills my life with such happiness and joy, and one who has taken amazing care of me during these past hard months. i can't believe it has been a year since our wedding day. i wish we could have a wedding every year for the sole purpose of having all of our favorite people in one place. same church, same venue, same everything...

 

we are spending our anniversary at Saybrook Point where our reception was held. i can't wait to walk on the docks again & spend the day/night there.  i truly love this romantic & magical place and am so excited to be back there. here are some of my favorite pictures from our wedding, taken by our great friends Kris Rae + Kristen.

apple picking

pete and i headed to Scott's to do some apple picking. i grew up going to this little orchard and it brought back memories of my childhood. with my current healing situation, we couldn't participate on the hay ride, but we picked plenty of apples to make treats back at home. it was the perfect weather & the perfect way to start a great day that ended in an eagles win. great success.

part of pete and i moving out of our apartment requires a ton of our crap being thrown into the basement... while i was down there sorting through stuff we are donating, i found 3 huge boxes of old pictures that haven't been looked at in 10 years... i promised my mom if i made the mess of going through them, that i would attempt to put them in albums over the next few weeks. these are some gems i found:

putting puzzles together. still do. such a satisfying activity

*note: pretty much my entire wardrobe as a kid growing up was hand me downs from my older, totally stylish cousins. i love the outfits my mom put together for us kids even when my parents didn't have a lot. its proof that you don't need to have uber expensive wardrobes to have a great childhood, and kids that grow up to be beautiful people inside and out.
