on a rainy morning, that turned into a gorgeous afternoon, we scooped up brother in law Matt & headed for the Walt Disney Museum. But not before taking a few pics at the absolutely breathtaking Palace of Fine Arts. gorgeous right? the thing is monstrous. we had so much fun walking around in it, hurting our necks looking up, & trying to get close to the swans. and then it was off to the Disney museum & to see the Snow White exhibit. unreal. they show original sketches of all the beloved movies plus a miniature sized Disneyland. i could have spent all day in the museum and the gift shop, i could spend all day in any gift shop!

i have kept an eye on this Madewell Camden Bag for months now, only to find it on the other side of the country on sale. this bag was made for me. the bright blue, the pretty suede. the fact that i can shop using both hands because one isn't holding a chunky purse... i am smitten with this gem of a find & if you love it as much as i do, you can find it here. the jeans are my first pair from J.Crew, boots from last year at Kohls, & the darling top is from Anthropologie.

napa valley, i love you.

first up on our california trip was wine country. we headed straight for Elyse Winery to sample some of my favorite wines & of course, a little port. we roamed around the vineyard & took in the views before heading to taste champagne. with a tour of the cellar & expert pairings with fabulous foods, Chandon was easily my favorite part of Napa. we then lunched at a pizzeria that served water in old liquor bottles & managed to squeeze in a mini wardrobe post. enjoy!

over the past 10 days...

husband and i woke up at the crack of dawn,

 boarded our plane for a six hour flight,

 and landed in sunny San Carlos for a little vacation at my in law's mountain side house.

 we played many many games of dominos,

(already asked for a set for christmas!)

 had my heart melt at the kittens for sale in the San Francisco Macy's windows,

 took many, many trips all over the city with pete,

 gushed over the brightly painted buildings,

 & bonded (obviously) with Shamus the house cat.f

i mean, he chose to sit on MY lap!

oh, and did i mention i got to try Sprinkles cupcakes for the first time ever?!

successful vacation indeed.

welp, we are BACK! and what a vacation it was! the last week & a half have been packed with family, friends, travels, & cats ;) i didn't bring my laptop out there, so i am still in the process of going through the 400 pics i took. just get ready for a week of all we did in california. i am so excited to share!
